Day 2: Ulaanbaatar City Tour

Begin your journey with a stroll through Sukhbaatar Square, the beating heart of the city framed by grand government buildings and statues of Mongolia’s heroes. Visit the Gandan Buddhist Monastery, home to a towering golden Buddha and a centre of spiritual life in the capital. After lunch, delve into history at the Chinggis Khaan Museum, bringing to life the Mongol Empire’s fascinating past. End your day with dinner and return to your hotel for the night.

Day 3: Journey to Karakorum

Drive across endless winter steppes to Karakorum, the fabled ancient capital of the Mongols. Along the way, stop at the mini sand dunes, where you’ll be welcomed by a camel herder family. Here, experience a memorable ride on a Bactrian camel, a two-humped icon of the desert. Continue to Karakorum, check into your local hotel and rest after your journey.

Day 4: Explore Karakorum’s Legacy

Step back in time as you wander through the sacred grounds of Erdenezuu Monastery, Mongolia’s first Buddhist monastery built from the ruins of Genghis Khan’s capital. Visit the Karakorum Museum to uncover artefacts and relics of the empire’s golden age. Later, head to Khaadiin Khaad Hill for panoramic views of the frozen valley, before returning to your hotel for dinner and rest.

After lunch, continue to one of Mongolia’s biggest ski resorts where you can choose between skiing, snowboarding, or tubing down the slopes. Before returning to the city, stop for some last-minute shopping at the State Department Store, then gather for a farewell dinner celebrating your Mongolian adventure. Overnight at your hotel.
