New Chitose → Lake Shikotsu → Lake Toya

Destinations: Lake Shikotsu cruise, Lake Toya, Usu Volcano Ropeway.
Begin your journey at Lake Shikotsu, a crystal-clear caldera lake known for its deep blue waters and scenic boat cruises. Continue to Lake Toya, where the still waters reflect the surrounding volcanic peaks. Take a thrilling ride up the Usu Volcano Ropeway for panoramic views of the lake and Mount Showa-Shinzan.

Hidden Gems: Foot baths along Toyako Onsen streets.
Stroll through Toyako Onsen’s lakeside streets and dip your feet in the relaxing natural foot baths while enjoying views of the water and mountains.

Lake Toya → Noboribetsu → Furano

Destinations: Noboribetsu Jigokudani (Hell Valley), Furano flower fields.
Journey to Noboribetsu Jigokudani (Hell Valley), where steam vents and bubbling pools paint a surreal volcanic landscape. Then, drive north to Furano, famed for its sprawling flower fields and seasonal beauty.

Asahikawa → Sounkyo Gorge

Sounkyo → Abashiri → Shiretoko

Destinations: Drift Ice Museum, Shiretoko Five Lakes, Rausu whale watching.
Visit Abashiri’s Drift Ice Museum to learn about the Sea of Okhotsk’s icy wonders, then continue to the pristine wilderness of Shiretoko National Park. Explore the Shiretoko Five Lakes and take a whale-watching cruise from Rausu to see orcas and dolphins.

Shiretoko → Lake Akan

Destinations: Lake Akan Ainu Village, Marimo moss balls.

Lake Akan → Kushiro → New Chitose

Destinations: Kushiro Marsh Observatory, red-crowned crane spotting.
Visit the Kushiro Marsh Observatory, Japan’s largest wetland, and catch a glimpse of the elegant red-crowned cranes, a symbol of longevity and grace.

Overnight: Campervan return and end of trip.

The Campervans do not come with built-in toilets or showers, so it’s a good idea to plan for rest stops. 

The good news is that Japan offers plenty of clean and safe options — from convenience stores and roadside Michi-no-Eki stations with restrooms, to public baths and relaxing onsen (hot springs) where you can freshen up after a long day on the road.

You can consider staying at RV parks. They are affordable, safe, and ideal for campervan travellers, with many offering water supply, waste disposal, Wi-Fi, or laundry facilities.

Currently, we offer campervan rentals from Tokyo, Osaka and Hokkaido. There are about 60 campervans available. 

The campervans are generally equipped with the following amenities:
